When you talk about complete albums and ones that really pushed the envelope upon their release, this checks all boxes. Pet Sounds is "so low" here because I only have so many listens with it compared to the ones above it in which I love dearly. However, what I've taken from this album is only gorgeous splendor.

This was one of the most important albums ever for me growing up and in my first few years of drumming, had I arranged this 60’s list in 2010 this album would probably be in the top 3. Zeppelin, and this their sophomore release, hasn't been present in my listening nearly as much in recent time, but man has it got some classic material.

The underrated middle child in the Hendrix studio discography. Some jaw-droppingly good material here including a couple of my all time favorites, Spanish Castle Magic and Castles Made of Sand.

One of my very favorite jazz albums, full of life and creativity. Tony Williams is on drums and you can tell even without the LP sleeve or Wikipedia informing you first.
