A record that ignites my soul and makes my heart feel a thousand miles wide just by seeing the cover. An effortless listen, a landmark in sound and structure, and each side is absolutely terrific. [First added to this chart: 04/22/2017]

Simply put, some of the finest 35 minutes of music ever. Everything about it is mystically astounding. The sound of this record is always inviting on any form of media before even discussing the music. If Elvin ever sounded better highlighting the melodic pathways of each musician in the group I must not have heard the album. Everyone shines on this record but other than composer in chief Coltrane, Elvin is the real MVP here and performs some of the most stellar jazz drumming ever put to tape. This album is otherworldly. As solid and enjoyable any just about any album you could find. This album is melodically baffling. Melody, melody, melody, melody, melody, and to your right, another melody. And just about every one is fucking fantastic. Hearing this in 1966 must have been nuts. [First added to this chart: 04/22/2017]

Some of the most beautiful music ever recorded and released. I promise you guys, listen to this album at night in the shower. Tony Williams vivaciously rides essentially one very subdued drum beats throughout the majority of the album's run time showing off his next-level discipline behind the kit, serving the song at all cost. The record's all star cast laid down this calm before the Bitches Brew storm in exquisite fashion. [First added to this chart: 04/22/2017]

A true game-changer. This album is the sound of a man of spiritual life force and beast-like primal musicality figuring it all out and right out of the gate. There's hardly a moment on this album that doesn't still resonate regularly with listeners and musicians of all ages all over the world. With a track-list as sturdy as the foundation of the Pentagon, Are You Experienced is one of the best rock albums you will ever hear. [First added to this chart: 04/22/2017]

A listening experience like no other. Even if some of the tracks on here aren't absolute Beatle standouts, the flow and overall vibe of this record would be incomplete without just about any of them. It's a grand piece of art even if it suffers from the occasional hyperbole. [First added to this chart: 04/22/2017]

Listening through Blonde On Blonde is like listening to an audio book. A prophetic and prolific writer at arguably his most consistently great and the Dylan album I find myself returning to most often these days. [First added to this chart: 04/22/2017]

This album's auditory hue is as vibrant and mesmerizing as its cover. It was jarring how much I liked this on first listen. Genuinely one of the best albums of the era. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2020]

Very close to my favorite VU release. The ending of this album is such maddening joy. I smile in such a comfortably uncomfortable fashion. [First added to this chart: 04/22/2017]
