"You know I'd sooner forget but I remember those nights, when life was just a bet on a race between the lights."
Super underappreciated album. Telegraph Road is definitely the high point, but ever other track is great as well, to the extent that it's hard picking a second favourite track. I would take this over Brothers In Arms any day.

Possibly the bleakest album I've ever heard, which is especially jarring coming from someone like Springsteen, whose lyrics, no matter how dark, are usually laced with hope. That hope is nowhere to be found in Nebraska.
