As far as rock music swan songs go, this might be the best there's ever been. From the iconic opening bass line of "Come Together" to the ambitious Side 2 medley to the solemnity-subverting "Her Majesty," the entire album is an unqualified triumph. The medley on Abbey Road always gives me goosebumps and gives me that a feeling of pure joy that no album ever since has. A true masterpiece and and of course a classic album! It definitely deserves it's praise! [First added to this chart: 12/14/2016]

Led Zeppelin made one of the greatest, heaviest and raunchiest albums ever, steeped in both Delta and Chicago blues, Sixties psychedelia and gentle-to-bone-crushing dynamics. Highlights ranged from the chugging, apocalyptic chaos of "Whole Lotta Love" to the bullet-fast fuzz riffs of "Heartbreaker" to "Bring It on Home." And as a drummer, the "Moby Dick" solo by Bonham makes it a complete album for me. It's first on their second record here that we hear the group identity come together, and it's truly an amazing album. [First added to this chart: 12/14/2016]
