Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by Daydreamer Unknown

A rough prototype, there are many albums which would definitely be in my top 100 but I didn't know where to place them so I will be adding them as soon as I figure out where they should be.

Also I by no means think these albums are the greatest using some objective criteria, more like 100 best albums ever according to my tastes and opinions. Enjoy :)

Up to this point Radiohead have conquered the world with both rock and electronic music, so here they gave as some kind of synthesis of their previous sounds - alt rock and electronica. But it sounds incredibly fresh, creative and concise, without a single note out of place. Also, this is probably their best album lyrically with songs dealing with personal and emotional problems and only make the songs more powerful and hard hitting. They had an amazing run from 1995-2000 and with this 2007 release they proved that they hadn't lost a bit of that magic. [First added to this chart: 01/23/2017]

Given the fact I wasn't big on indie rock and that this band is so unique in many ways, I expected this album would take some time to get into. However, it grabed me from the first second of the first song and never let go. The sound is so raw which makes the songs even more emotionally engaging, and even though it deals with some dark themes like death or loss in general, it never feels bleak or desperate, but almost like this album is a beacon of hope during hard time. I find it incredibly catharsic and optimistic [First added to this chart: 01/23/2017]

Cold and distant, yet resonating within every modern man in a modern world. This is what are feelings sound like in this era, or maybe a better way to describe it is the lack of feelings along with isolation. It continues where Ok Computer left of, but it's definitely more extreme and challenging. [First added to this chart: 01/23/2017]

A solid number of fans were dissapointed with this sophomore album because it was such a drastic change of style, but the americana and heartland rock infulenced proved to be a great match for The Killers. Themes and imagery are almost Springsteenian and they fit nicely with Flowers' nearly hysterical delivery (again a big change from the debut). One thing that hasn't changed, though, is their ability to write incredibly catchy melodies and big choruses. [First added to this chart: 01/23/2017]

I joined this site mostly to discover great music from 00's and 10's since I've already known a great bunch of older music. And this is the album I completely fell in love with during the first listen. Weird and trippy psychedelic sounds and even noises combined with poppy and catchy melodies make this a beautiful and colourful record that is both relaxing and uplifting. Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 2% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 90.3/100, a mean average of 90.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.1/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 10.0.

The further towards 100 you go the more unique and interesting it gets IMO. Seems we have a lot in common, though I maybe skew a little more recent.

Really earnest and sincere. You care deeply about the albums in the top part of your list and it shows. I love the picks and I love the notes.

Good chart! Was nice seeing Innuendo and Bone Machine on here mixed in with tons of highly rated albums. Innuendo is easily one of Queens best and most underrated songs.
