Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 86.2/100, a mean average of 85.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.3/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 13.0.

I'd love to see this extended into 100 albums. What I'm seeing so far is awesome. Love the premise, love the album selection, definitely going to take some recommendations from here that I haven't heard yet.
Cool chart! Would like to see more. Great start though. Love Siouxsie, Bjork, Portishead (especially Third), Eurythmics, Goldfrapp (Seventh Tree is wonderful), FKA Twigs, Pretenders, Lauryn Hill etc.. oh and Blondie Parallel Lines. You should check out St. Vincent.
Really like this chart; great to see some underground faves of mine (Julianna Barwick, NYPC) mixed in with the heavyweights.
As for those criticising your choice to focus on female artists: ignore them. Sure, personally I try to keep more of a mix of genders, but as @sssvnnn put it, what you've done here is far "more interesting than a chart including only boys". Lord knows BEA has enough of those...
That said, as an ostensibly female-orientated chart I still think there's a little too much focus on artists from the 21st century, and quite a big proportion of the music here does tend to fall into similar variations on 'art pop' (hard to avoid, I know, when there's so much great female-authored art pop knocking about these days).
Would be great to see the inclusion of some female artists who refuse to adhere to prescribed notions of femininity in their music, and give voice to women within genres that have historically been largely male (Lingua Ignota for avant-garde metal, Pauline Oliveros for dark ambient, Matana Roberts for avant-garde jazz, Meredith Monk for contemporary classical, and Moor Mother for experimental hip hop all come to mind).
Aaaaand on the flipside, why stop at ciswomen? I can't say what your intentions with this chart were, but if you were hoping to offer listeners an alternative to the predominantly cismale viewpoint that occupies much of music reception, then musical projects from trans and non-binary artists like AHOHNI, SOPHIE, and Genesis P-Orridge (R.I.P.) would all make fascinating additions to what you've got here, I think.
Would be interested to know your thoughts! Feel free to drop me a line.

Fantastic chart with some great picks... :)
Great list some great females
wow amazing chart you have here, great diversity and the surprises here are many, like sterolab's loops, and love how much feminine this is, with many I have to explore here even not being too big. great work you made
