This album floors me. And then some. Emotionally expansive soundscapes that stretch from the size of a mosquito to an entire swarm. Electric and eclectic, I come to this record to get something I can’t quite get from *any* other.

A colorful and idiosyncratic set of melodic vibes with some brilliant turns of phrase scattered throughout. So much charm on Room 25 and even if the record isn't firing on all cylinders the entire time, the good of this album is undeniably good. Some good features and excellent instrumentation fill the halls of this gorgeous piece of hip hop.

My listening of this record comes sporadically. But I think that’s helped me appreciate it. It’s so different. But it’s astounding too. I view this as hip-hop’s Lumpy Gravy.

Similar to IGOR, I wasn't sure what to expect going into my first listen of Boarding House Reach. On the other end of the album was an ecstatic me, thrilled with the implementation of older sounds and feels turned somehow futuristic. A unique approach to his already forward thinking songwriting and an album I recommend highly.

Talk about an album I was blown away with upon release. Thinking back, I probably shouldn't have been. I had just caught their Saturday night headlining set to a freshly emptied Mapfre Stadium at Columbus Ohio's Rock on the Range festival but the band was AMAZING. Great setlist including some new songs off their previous endeavor I enjoyed quite a bit and the incredible Victim of Changes.
Anyway, it seems as though they took that live fury and bottled it up on to a record. Firepower is a terrific late stage statement from Priest with some terrific soloing, blistering drumming, TOP NOTCH vocals from Rob Halford and an overall positive glaze provided from the record's production. One of the most genuinely brutal and frighteningly heavy pieces of auditory art you can pull off the shelf. Entrancingly chaotic.
