*amended (7/12/20): I decided to go with one album per artist just to make it a little more eclectic. The ranking is pretty loose; beyond like the top 25, it's pretty arbitrary. And I'm gonna keep doing the little write ups for each one.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Only 4 albums in common but that is because you employ the one album per artist rule .... I just not brave enough to do that my chart would be decimated if I did that .... but I respect your choices and overall it is a very interesting read
Great chart - love the one album/artist concept; love the comments and how the albums soundtrack key moments in your life; love your sentimental attachment to albums that are real outliers; love how uniquely this chart reflects who you are (no BEA group think here!). Love how you have canvassed the decades. My only criticism would be it is a bit too US heavy - but hey, you were born in the USA. Oh, loved (but don't agree) on your putting Darkness ahead of Born To Run. Got a real kick out of you putting 'Another Self Portrait' ahead of about 20 other Dylan albums. Finally, would have liked to have seen a few more Australian albums in the top 100. Anyway, certainly one of my favourite BEA user charts for sure!

Love Let It Be at number 1 and the Strokes at number 3. One album per artist is tough too. Descriptions also a plus. 100.
The comments on all your picks give a fantastic insight into why you chose them. Was great to read through. Really nice chart!

Man I'd love to see you come comment on all of these albums because the descriptions for the albums you chose to do so on are amazing and got me to listen to some great new records. Amazing chart!

Even though some of it isn't my thing I love love love this chart. Nice mix of stuff and your write-ups add so much personality too. Great stuff!
Really unique and clearly long-thought-out chart. Love seeing albums like YHF, Born to Run and Loveless in your very eclectic top 20. Just wish there were notes!!
