Foo Fighters started my musical obsession back in 2011. Over time, this has become the Foo album I've gravitated towards most frequently. Nothing Left to Lose is like comfort food to me. My personal favorite Foos record features the band at their most melodic. Not exactly the grunginess Nirvana-like self-titled or the massive stadium-friendly Colour and the Shape, Nothing Left to Lose is their most "chill" record.

I love the heaviness of Stacked Actors, the punkiness of Breakout, the 70's rock influenced Learn to Fly and Generator, and the catchiness of Next Year. It's still Foo Fighters, so it still rocks out, but to a lesser extent and with a newfound diversity of styles. I like the chilled-out trio that made this record. They wrote really simple and really great songs. As an album, this is Foo Fighters' greatest pure songwriting achievement.

Aurora is one of the most beautiful songs ever written and is the only Foos song that comes close to the level of Everlong. Gorgeous tune.

The greatest rock record of the 90's. Grunge took a seat in favor of this intellectual, Pink Floyd-esque concept album that sounds like it was recorded in the stratosphere. Rightfully hailed as one of the greatest albums of all-time, tracks 1 through 6 hit you hard. Those six songs might be the greatest run of six songs on any album I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. One great song after another...increasing tension, increasing paranoia, and an all too accurate depiction of an out-of-touch and rapidly evolving society reliant on technology. OK Computer predicted the future... in addition to being a main reason that Coldplay exist.

Favorite tracks: Paranoid Android, Let Down, Karma Police, Lucky, The Tourist (criminally underrated and a perfect finish to a nearly perfect album)
