Genesis came way too late into my life, but I am so happy that I chose to start listening to them. This album is really close to my heart, and I would almost say that it's tied for the number one spot. No other band has perfected the art of ending albums on high notes, and this might be the best ending of any album I've ever heard.

The darkest Pink Floyd album (maybe apart from The Wall), but also the best when it comes to lyrics and melodies. The guitar solo in Dogs is the standout moment from this album.

The excellent Richard Wright really shines in this journey of an album. Great variation in the songs, and Gilmour doing some of his best ever work on Shine On You Crazy Diamond.

You don't need more than three songs on an album if they are all of this quality. Three prog classics, all more spectacular than the other. Not really the world's biggest Yes fan, but it is fair to say that I am a fan of this album.

With instant prog classics like Watcher of The Skies and Supper's Ready, and only one "filler" in Horizons, but still one of the most beautiful guitar songs from the 70s. Supper's Ready might be the best prog rock song ever made.

Another album that might belong in any top 10 (just outside mine), Pink Floyd did here what no other band has done before or since. I don't think The Dark Side Of The Moon will ever sound out-dated.

Maybe the most popular album from the Peter Gabriel era. With "pop" songs like I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe) and More Fool Me, and prog classics like the opener Dancing With The Moonlit Knight, the magnificent Firth of Fifth and the ending The Cinema Show, this album works for nearly anyone no matter your preferences.

In my opinion, this is the most underrated album by Bob Dylan. Made not long after Blood On The Tracks, here we hear a more tender(?) set of songs. I can't help but smile whenever I listen to this record.

Led Zeppelin made their folky sound work extremely well in this piece of genius. We get a mixture of nice, calm songs like Going to California, and more hard-hitting tracks like Four Sticks. Stairway To Heaven is kind of the perfect summary to this album.

Without the help of Crazy Horse, this album consists mainly of Neil Young and a guitar or a piano. Vocally, this might be his strongest album, but there is not enough variation for me to place this above Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere.

Nice chart! I don't know if you tried Gentle Giant, but based on your tastes, I think you might like it (Three Friends, Free Hand, Octopus, Gentle Giant). Also, have you heard "Time And A Word" from Yes? This album is crazy good!
