This was Beefheart's final album and the first one I got. From there it was a wonderful journey into his world.

Martin Bramah and Una Baines from the Fall got together to create this wonderful band. I first heard them on NME's C-81. Apparently John Cooper Clark gave them their name.

I like this album a lot, but know so little about the band. I bought the single Firebomb in a bargain bin for 5p! and that led me to finding this album.

I'm 49 and this brings back great memories of John Peel. Here's a few more names that might ring a bell from the Peel show during the early to mid 80s (the golden age):
