Another absolutely incredible funeral doom album. Just like Subaqueous, it completely blew me away. I wasn't expecting anything out of it, and I got a small masterpiece. The deep growling vocals are insane (and the brief clean vocals may be even better), the atmosphere spot on, and everything funeral doom has to offer is here on display. Her darkest and most mature work yet. It's futuristic, synthetic and yet it still manages to capture emotions in a way only Grimes can. It's great enough to enter the "big 3" of Grimes albums, and I think it's the most consistent of those. But which one is the best? Who knows. [First added to this chart: 01/08/2020]

Still couldn't care less about his lyrics, but the songs are so good. Blinding Lights is one of the best pop singles I've heard in a while, and the album is terrific at its highs. It's got a few fillers too, but overall the highlights are too good to deny. After Hours, Save Your Tears, Blinding Lights, Hardest To Love, Alone Again... what a tracklist. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Great chart! A few I loved, and a few I couldn't stand (ugh that Code Orange record...not for me). 26 in common, including quite a few which are deeper cuts (Ulcerate was great, as was the Backxwash album). Probably my favorite 2020 chart I've seen so far, I'll have to dig through your year charts for other eras.

It’s in the queue, might get a chance to play it tomorrow. The difference is that I know a few of the older Roisin/Moloko songs, so I kind of know what to expect. Or not?
So I was reading the intro for your pick for Jessie Ware, and I think it might happen with Roisin Machine.
