Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by Spyglass
My chart is ordered from best to worst. These albums I have chosen are albums that go above and beyond the boundaries of music, and have brilliance to share in whatever forms they take. All of the albums I've chosen are very special to me in one way or another, even if they're outside of my comfort zone, because a comfort zone doesn't matter when you're trying to comprehend all forms of music.
I've added little stories that describe my feelings when listening to each album. They're quite odd, but I love a little odd now and then.

"My report is one our home state, and is based upon old records I found at the library behind a bunch of crossword puzzle books nobody ended up checking out. Anyone can do a report with an average history book, but the phrasings and writings in this book brought real poetry to our whole history. It was so beautiful in its description of our history that I wanted to believe it could predict the future." [First added to this chart: 04/03/2020]

"Fellow humans, let us drop to the blood stained ground on our calloused knees and beg our non-goddess mother Mary Joanna for the universe to create a war against wars with our own army. The battle will be rough and full of smoke in the air. The smell of burnt corpses and desolate weed fields can hurt us, but they can also fuel us. Let this smoky darkness overtake you and don't forget, it's the devil you should fight." [First added to this chart: 04/03/2020]

"Music is the deadliest weapon. Pain is the topic we all sing about, confusing it with a stress reliever when in reality it becomes all we think about, all we are. When the man in the black coat comes to commission you, remember that a requiem's only purpose is to comfort death. But what of when the music empowers it?" [First added to this chart: 04/06/2020]

"When you're a kid, a part of your life is defined by the old stories and poems of your youth. When you're a teenager, you try to forget those stories; that's a part of the preparation to transition to maturity. When you're finally an adult, you look back on the old poems and realize that many of your decisions come from them. No matter how far you go, those poems and stories will always follow you." Dance-Pop / Contemporary R&B
"I met here at the bar. They were having a 10th Anniversary of Disco party, whatever that means. I saw her on the dance floor doing movies I didn't know were possible, as if she were a student of contortionism. She danced like a soul free from its body, attempting to seduce the angels to allow her into Heaven. Having taken dance lessons myself, I decided to watch and wait to see how she would treat the other boys before I took my stand. She rejected them all, as if they were trying to be too human as opposed to her almost astral movement, something spiritual. I was the only one who could understand her. I didn't try to mimic her movements: I mimicked her philosophy, translating it into my bodily movements. I wasn't very good, but she could see that I understood what she was doing. And so she danced with me. Afterwards, she got in the back of my '85 Mustang and we had the wildest night of our lives, especially when she revealed the reason why she could dance like that to me. For anyone who sees me like this, don't be scared. She taught me that there's nothing to be afraid of, not even monsters." [First added to this chart: 04/03/2020]

"With this wand I translate the magics of the universe for all to hear and understand. The forces of good and evil have no limitations when spread across the universe. The ambiguity of philosophy creates evil, where the understanding of it creates good. My wand of light is a sword against the twisted darkness and the tainted wo0rds of our ancestors, so I bring forth a light not seen since the ancient times." [First added to this chart: 06/05/2020]

"I am a child at heart. I write songs like a professional, or like a grown-up, but in the 1960's that's the only way to keep in touch with the inner child. I can be a romantic or a bard, only if I feel like it. I feel like a lot of things." [First added to this chart: 04/03/2020]

"Not to make assumptions or be rude, but I believe I can see into your mind. I might not know your greatest achievements, deepest sorrows or even what you had for breakfast, but I can make an educated guess at everything that surrounds you and how you soak it in. Could you make a list of the many things that you take for granted, all because you compare all that's good and golden with things born of evil and soot? The pain that you are going through this very moment (and have been for thousands of moments just like this one) is simply a variant of the pain anyone else could be going through. Through connecting all of these variants of pain into one human category, we're all someone who deserves a kind examination of the soul, so if you're willing to let me see what you want me to see, I'll help you see the world in a new light."
