Psychedelic Rock // Folk Rock

Another hit from QMS. Hopkin's piano makes this album a very big stand-out in their discography. The closer, Edward, the Mad Shirt Grinder is definitely worth a listen by any San-Fran fan. This is one of the only albums that truly and purely brings me joy to listen to.

Whoah who knows how it goes
How long have I gone without drinking?
Wood can burn and wheels will turn
And words won't say what i'm thinking
The grasses sway turnin' to hay
Now look at the harvest we're sowin'
With plenty more pain to come around again
Where green fields of love could be growing

Acid Rock // Blues Rock

The best album to come out of Acid SanFran. Cippollina's and Duncan's shredding, David Friedberg's performance and songwriting, and Greg Elmore's masterful drumming all combine to make the best album to come out of the acid-rock scene in San Francisco during the late 60s. With an album-closer like The Fool, nothing can go wrong.

And you hear it in the morning... Says the Golden Sun,
Life's song is moving ever onward, from and to the sound of One,
Turning in, turning out, spirals high, never down.
Wonder, wonder wanders loving, loving lovers.
Freefall, tumblin' walls...
One world...
One... one truth, Heaven's above, Life is Love.
Life is love. Love is life.
It's love... Love.

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 1% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 92.6/100, a mean average of 94.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 95.0/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 6.4.

This must be about the best chart I have ever seen. Its composition is like nothing else I have seen on this site or anywhere else, has some quite good notes (though I will say that they could do more than discuss the best tracks and look at each album’s wider importance) and many very unsual albums. The song list, too, is very good.

Tu lista de canciones también es muy interesante.

fantastic chart.
It starts nicely with some classics, but it shows some pretty unknown and interesting picks besides the mainstream.

Nice chart, as far as 60s/70s-centric charts go, this one is right up my alley. Personally my chart is more slanted towards the recent decades, but this is great.

I'll have to listen to the Philippine albums here

So Time Out is back on! I really like your list still. Good stuff. A little bit too 70s oriented, which is okay since it's such a great decade for music, but I like to see diversity through out the decades and genres. It just shows more of an open mind but eh... I get it. My original list had nearly 40 entries for the 90s lol.
