Best indie rock tribute album

I am a sucker for cvoers in general, and tribute albums specifically, and this is a tribute album of one of my top 10 albums of all time, by a bunch of artists I mostly like or love, so this is a winner for me. Favourites are Kurt Vile with Run Run Run, and Courtney Barnett with I'll Be Your Mirror (which is cool, beacuse I loved their collaborative album), and also Bobby Gillespie and Thurston Moore combining for Heroin. I wasn't too keen on the weird version of All Tomorrow's Parties by St. Vincent, but every other song is great. [First added to this chart: 10/24/2021]

Best rock tribute album

To save you the trouble of listening to all four hours (although I loved doing it - I just find cover versions, good ones or bad ones, fascinating) here are the best versions of each song:-

Enter Sandman - Rina Sawayama (possibly the best song on here overall)
Sad But True - Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit
Holier Than Thou - The Chats (like Jason Isbell above they make it sound like one of their own songs)
The Unforgiven - Cage The Elephant
Wherever I May Roam - Jon Pardi (a surprise to me but it really is the best version here - well done)
Don't Tread On Me - SebastiAn (a bit strange, but a really interesting strange)
Through The Never - The Hu (fun)
Nothing Else Matters - Chris Stapleton (there were a few good versions here but I liked Chris Stapleton's the most)
Of Wolf And Man - Goodnight, Texas (no contest here as it's the only version)
The God That Failed - IDLES (of course)
My Friend Of Misery - Kamasi Washington (as expected)
The Struggle Within - Rodrigo y Gabriela (again the only version) [First added to this chart: 09/21/2021]

Fantastic chart, yet again! I'll need to check out some more of the Aussie bands on your list, and I guess my chart skews more Canadian. Not sure what I could recommend that you haven't already heard, but you might like N0V3L for an arty post-punk minimalist sound, or Yoo Doo Right for more haunting droning instrumental tunes?

One of the coolest charts around, as always. There's already several gems from Down Under that I've not heard.
