Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 13% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 87.6/100, a mean average of 86.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 87.7/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 14.7.

This is such an effortlessly cool chart, with the charm of not seeming disingenuous. A few more notes like the one you've got for your no1 pick and this would be a perfect 100/100 for me. Your taste is so diverse that I'm struggling a little to think what might be up your street. In case you haven't heard of them already, I think you might enjoy the Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 album 'Mother Of All Saints'. Let me know!!
As for recommendations, looking at your list (punk mixed with classic blues rock and a bit of art rock) I'd say Jack White, Motorhead (if you want heavier stuff), Pixies.
BRMC and Spencer have given you +10 rating, they're good!
I have not even listened to most of the albums in your chart and yet I gave you a 100. I would have listened several if they had been available to me for download.
Lots of al ums to discover
Ooh I like this chart a lot. Especially the inclusion of the Black Angels in the top 10. A lot of just really good rock music here. And a lot of psychedelic goodness. Directions to See a Ghost has always been my favorite, I'll give Passover another listen :)
After looking your chart a bit, I see you like noise rock, post-punk and garage rock.
I would recommend you Wire's first three albums, Mogwai's Young Team and Swans's late albums
Never heard of Michael Yonkers before, listened to some of his albums, and loved it! Also, automatic 100 for having You Forgot It In People so high. Thanks for having great taste!
I guess Rowland S Howard is an underground classic I lived near him in St Kilda ,Melbourne before his passing a real legend of the alternative Aussie scene
Rowland! this chart is brilliant. i found it by looking into Bassholes rep on this website and you're one of the few who have them. the underground music from the late 90's and early 00's is criminally underrated. i also like the presence of some awesome psychedelic stuff like the 13th floor elevators who arguably started the whole genre! great stuff
If you like Rowland then a look into his early stuff with Nick Cave in Boys next door/The birthday party would be a good start into similar stuff if you didn't already know it.
