Bad news is most of Paul Mccartneys solo output is pretty lame. Good news is there's Emitt Rhodes instead. [First added to this chart: 01/31/2013]

As glad as I am that Fiona's finally received the praise she deserves, it's a bit of a shame it's for that pompous mess of an album The Idler Wheel. I much prefer Extraordinary Machine, where all the doom and gloom is balanced out by just plain brilliant pop song writing. [First added to this chart: 01/31/2013]

Also the ultimate tribute album to the psychedelic era. Oh, and he's the only artist on this chart I've seen live (or outside this chart too, for that matter. Well, I've been to classical concerts.. ok, so he's the only rock artist I've seen live, that's what I should've said from the beginning. Sorry for wasting your time, please don't stop going through the chart). [First added to this chart: 08/12/2013]

Radiohead type rock music with samba and bossa nova influences, sounds just as awesome as you're imagining it right now. Also I think they're like the biggest band ever in South America, don't be an ignoramus, go listen. [First added to this chart: 01/31/2013]

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 87.1/100, a mean average of 87.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 87.3/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 7.4.

Certainly one of the more diverse (by nation) & interesting 1 album/per artist charts I've seen. Personally, I found the quality of the top 100 albums to be too inconsistent (for a top 100 chart) ~ but I accept that you have unique tastes and are just being honest to those tastes.
I loved seeing The Easybeats & Silverchair representing Australian music.
Enjoyed the commentary - quirky & funny & engaging.

Although totally different from my own chart – even regarding preference for albums by Stevie Wonder and George Clinton – this is a really interesting and thoughtful chart, one of the best I have seen here.
