Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. I dig this one a bit. Ed's voice sounds a bit more raw and broken, but he keeps it soft and doesn't try to throw any unnecessary edge on it like he does on other tracks. The change to his mother's perspective is interesting and he keeps his more irritating personality traits out of it. Wish he had said something a bit more powerful instead of a bunch of (admittedly pleasant) "ohh's", but overall this feels like the most inspired track.
