Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 90.8/100, a mean average of 90.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.7.

The vocals, especially at the start of the song, remind me so much of Thom Yorke it's not even funny.

This is it. The big one. The centerpiece of this album and arguably the moment Porcupine Tree peaked. Others would argue that "Arriving Somewhere But Not Here" is better, but for me this is their best song, and one of my favorite songs ever.

Follow the lyrics and realze what a great piece of music this is. The centerpiece, "Only Apathy", is an amazing piece of music on its own. Then there's so much more... in this one song. His mastery is on its fullest display of all here. If you split this into 3 songs, the first let's call "not here" and the third, "water so warm", the first two are perfect on their own and the third merely great.

Nice to see it so highly rated over here. The song is more than 17 minutes long and is mostly well delivered prog metal. However, when you get to minute 13 you get the spacey ambient stuff that I most love, especially the guitar-electric piano part starting at 16:22. I find this moment so beautiful.
