"Contains two strong singles in What Time Is Love? and 3 A.M. Eternal, as well as one annoying single in Justified and Ancient. The remaining six songs are pointless filler."  Reply

"Great album. Terribly underrated. Everybody who listened to the rest of PE discography knows that this is, along with it takes a nation and fear of a black planet, one of their best albums. The sound is even rawer than the previous albums, if you can picture that, with the bomb squad kickin harde..."  [+]  Reply

"this was a really strong debut album, and the song "Gorecki" is a real standout, and it has made it onto many mix CDs i've burned for friends. a snippet was included in the film Moulin Rouge, and it's been used in other films and the tv series Torchwood."  Reply

"Rich layers of instrumention, enjoyable if not all that impressive. Maybe at bit overproduced at times - everything but the kitchen sink, sort of thing. Bit too much keyboard. I liked the funky bass, guitars and horns. Some good moments when they let their players riff, e.g. end of "Revolution 19..."  [+]  Reply

"Sounds like Zappa mouth raped Trent Reznor, shot a mutated semen load into his belly, and laughed a few weeks later as he watched Mr. NIN shit out this strangely awesome brood. Great album."  Reply

"Hardest rocking Hip album, oozing the most attitude. Not as many classics as other early Hip work, but the album as a whole shows them really flexing their muscle. A vital Hip album."  Reply
