"First listen: one of my favourite free jazz albums already. I loved his work with Coltrane and thought I'd get into his stuff. "For some reason The Who took a little longer to grow on me than the other British Invasion bands, but once they caught hold they are great. This is an impressive debut that was apparently considered rebellious at the the time. The title track is an obvious anthem." Reply

"An attack on hippiedom. We're only it in for the money, has some wonderful moments, but as a whole it flatters to deceive. Considering that a lot of the artists they aim to tear down are making music much cleverer and original than the Mothers are at this point kind of makes a mockery of an album..." Reply
