"So nice to hear someone else love motown like music. She did a fantastic job with the sound, but of course a bit more modern. Most themes are of infidelity and from a woman's perspective, which was interesting. But not just a sexy tease, rather something much more real. Aretha Franklin of the 200..."    Reply

"This is what you get when you throw everything at the wall and everything sticks. Always teetering on the brink of collapse, Since I Left You plays Jenga with loops. Building a tower so high, you'd think it was Australia's attempt to set foot on the moon."  Reply

"As a Muse fan, I must admit that it's not my fav from them, but it's still a masterpiece, in my opinion so meaningful in the period when it was released. I know it's easier to like songs like Plug in Baby or New Born, and they are still beautiful, but keep listening: there are hidden beauties in ..."    Reply

"Many people give them stick but their debut is quality until the end. Everyone knows them for Yellow but that isn't a favourite from the album for me. They carried on from where The Verve left off with Urban Hymns with a mix of Radiohead and Travis sound in there. Showing their great influences. ..."    Reply

"Microphones is an extraordinary band led by the genius Phil Elvrum who works on the experimentation in the lo-fi music. The very special art of Phil Elvrum and his band reaches its peak on this album of 2001. The sonic research started on "It Was Hot We Stayed in the Water" here reach an impressi..."    Reply

"An odd case for me, this great band. I'm probably in the minority, but to me, their albums have gotten better and better, so by definition this is their least strong album for me. It's a scary thought. Personally, I think if they keep up their craft and dedication, they can be our generation's Be..."    Reply

"In my opinion it's way too overrated on this site. The album may catch you with simple, rocking riffs and funny, satirical lyrics (that happen to be sort of cringy from time to time). I'm saying this from perspective of a person who used to love this album when I was 14 and it introduced me to mo..."    Reply

"I have to go against the crowd and state that I find this album much more enjoyable to listen to than Origin of Symmetry and Absolution. I found Origin of Symmetry somewhat flat and I found Absolution too grandiose and rather one-dimensional. By the end of Absolution every song sounded like one b..."    Reply
