"Room on Fire is This is It version 2.0 That is what ultimately hurts the legacy of their sophomore effort. Reptilia is better than anything on Is This It? But the whole album is safe and by the end of it the thinking is basically, "This is great too, but I have heard it before" and "Okay, but can..."    Reply

"I remember 2001... I thought the music industry was spiraling downhill... dominated by boy bands, Shaggy, Limp Biskit, Linkin Park, Staind, Creed, etc... Those were dark days indeed. When the Strokes and White Stripes burst onto the scene with their huge 2001 albums, it restored my faith in the m..."    Reply

"I think this album gets some unnecessary hate. I mean, yes it's not as unique or technically proficient as Whatever People Say I Am... but because of that it makes for a less harsh and a more relaxed listen. Just top notch songwriting and brilliant storytelling."  Reply

"This was the one of the first rap albums I ever bought and I still love it to this day! Huge step up from College Dropout in terms of lyricism and musical variety. Very good featured appearances by Lupe, Nas and even Adam Levine (I HATE Maroon 5, but he's used well here). This is still my favorit..."    Reply

"Fantastic album, really hits off once you get to Looks Just Like The Sun. From there BSS gives you a wonderful instrumental piece (Pacific Theme) and then onto the two highlights: the beautiful Anthem For A Seventeen Year Old Girl and the excellent Cause=Time. While nothing else on the album hits..."    Reply

"Three solid gold hits (Time to Pretend, Kids, Electric Feel) and the rest not really up to half the standard. Especially toward the end of the album. Thankfully they went on to make better and more consistent albums."  Reply

"Probably the most powerful album I've ever listened to emotionally, with some of the most interesting and fantastic music I've ever heard. Peter Silberman has one of my favorite voices I've ever heard and The Antlers are to me the best band of the last five years easily."  Reply

"While I would say that Jay-Z is better overall, and certainly more consistent over a longer period, Eminem tops him here. Em cannot match Jay for 'flow', but this album shows an incredibly talented young man at the top of his game. His best lines contain some magic combination of venom and humor;..."    Reply
