"I think this is DT's best album since 1999; I wouldn't call it a return to form, since DT never really slumped all that much, but it's certainly a slight improvement over recent releases. The absence of Portnoy might've hurt the band's energy, but it certainly removed some of the cheesiness. The ..." [More]

I love how all the tracks flow together (some more smoothly than others. The best transfer is from Toy Solders to B-Team while the one f..." [More]

"Throw this one in, close your eyes, and feel the dense atmoshpherics swell around you. I can't think of three better songs in succession on an album than "Holy Holy", "Dogs Eyes" and "Civilian"."

"It only took me two and a half spins to really get into this album. For people expecting Cross 2.0, you're going to be let down a little, but for people who are looking for a little change from their artists after a four year layover, I think this will be right up your alley. Justice breaks out t..." [More]

"I agree, especially in the Lou Reed influence, still this album has a phenomenal pop sensibility and consisten extraordinary arrangements, the first half of the album is extraordinary in this sense. Lets face it, it is the really first great album of this guys, lets wait for the next one..."

"Really wish they would get more recognition. This is the best album of 2011 and hardly anyone ever mentions it. Awesome band, seeing them live in a couple weeks for the 3rd time."

"This is the first of his post-Truckers albums that feels completely right. I get the impression that he struggled to fit into the rock mold of that band, and continued to struggle on his first two solo albums. This one is a nice mix of laid back blues-rock and soul, in that Muscle Shoals traditio..." [More]
