"One of Leonard Cohen's best albums for years. It's great to hear him still using new sounds. Some dance textures here. Cohen's voice is pretty much gone but the songs are still there. Slow, almost like the blues, did I ever love you, and, nevermind, all excellent. Good contemporary sounding album." Reply

"A return to a more rock sound after the acoustic leanings of the excellent, ashes and fire. This self titled album is a good record full of competent songs, but nothing really stands out as spectacular. Opening track, gimme something good, is probably the best track on the album, with, Kim, and, ..." [+] Reply

"This sounds like classic rock from tom petty & the heartbreakers, a classic rock band uncoincidentally enough. Of course, there is no song comparible to the best in his catalogue, but this is still a solid rockin' effort. What more can you ask of Tom Petty and gang at this point?" Reply

"I'm waiting for St. Vincent to trip up but she doesn't seem to have so far. This is just as weird and as irresistible as ever, maybe even a little more soulful than previous albums. Best track: Prince Johnny. The bass does some great thing, and the chorus (if you can call it that) is a real winner." [+] Reply
