Data Moderation Levels
As you contribute more edits and help improve the BEA database, more functionality will be unlocked.
The following table outlines the existing data moderation tiers and the permissions granted at each level:
| Level | Requirements | Permissions |
|---|---|---|
| Guest | Guest users (or users with a bad reputation). | Guest users are unable to edit anything. |
| Standard | Default for BEA members. | Users within this group are able to edit the albums they've added via their charts. They can also edit unmoderated (incomplete) items, or submit data corrections for items that have already been moderated. |
| Data Moderator | Users with 1,000 mod points, plus 100 forum posts or comments. | Users within this group are able to edit any item (even those that are already moderated), except for tracks with member feedback & permalocked items (which require a data correction to be submitted). Additionally, these users may moderate other user edits up to the same level. |
| Data Moderator Guru | Users with 100,000 mod points, plus 100 forum posts or comments. | Users within this group can approve other people's edits, manage artist members, make edits to all tracks, permalock items and flag items as suspect. Additionally, these users may moderate other user edits up to the same level. |
| Data Moderator Arbitrator | Membership restricted during the current phase of development. | Users within this group can perform all available data moderation activities, including deletes and merges. |
