Out there = experimental?

makes sense

Although a pop song about and accountant who kills blondes on Friday for a snake king would be pretty "out there" as well.

I guess Zaireeka was the weirdest for its concept, so they went with that one. Is the music weird? I've never heard it. Embryonic was pretty out there though, as were their very early albums. I think a strong case can be made that they are the most out there rock band on a major label (To think, Warner Bros. signed these weirdos!)

Doesn't seem to fit the definition, but the fact that it got produced in the first place (and the legal action against it) is too bizzare for words

The actual album is ok. It'd generic Flaming Lips stuff. None of their best work on it.

The real purpose of that album was the concept ๐Ÿคฃ I've only listened to it once that way, and it sounded really bad cause we used different speaker systems ๐Ÿคฃ

I like the music. A good album, and the concept is, to say the least, brilliant of course.

But yes, none of their best work is on it.

And those two laughing emoticons, when placed like that, have a very funny/disturbing effect of making the laughing faces seem more.......insane. You know, like they have a screw loose somewhere.

And that they're twins side by side.

That's a pretty good idea.

Has somebody made a song like that already?

If not, then can I use that idea?

Or something similar to that idea?

Hmm, TMR is THE most out there album ever? I doubt it. It's out there, but I've seen more out there albums than that.

Apparently, Sgt. Pepper is the 14th most out there album of all time. I mean it's hardly even among the 50 most out there albums, and here you find it at #14. The White Album was more out there than Sgt. Pepper.

I think was made with a combination of "out-there"-ness and actual artistic quality in mind. They don't want to publish a list of albums that are extremely strange and almost unlistenable. Still, with that in mind Sgt. Pepper shouldnโ€™t be anywhere near it. You're right, The White Album, Revolver, heck even some of McCartneyโ€™s solo albums are more strange and experimental than Pepper.

Then again. We could just be thinking that because of how much weโ€™re all just so used to it and its influence. Still shouldnโ€™t be that high though.

Glad to see White Light/White Heat there though.
