You don't have it right. What I was saying is that I believe you are mistaken in grouping all country fans together when you are really just referring to one little sub grouping within that genre.
All I'm saying is that it seems to me that that little sub group is a larger percentage of the whole than sub groups of other genres.
Saying that fans of a certain genre are less likely to listen to anything else is like saying fans of Chinese food are less likely to eat anything else.
Also I think this tourney should have been limited to just female artists rather than members of a band. Although i would rather listen to the Pixies than Aretha, comparing Kim Deal with her is impossible.
How is Kim Deal any less of an artist than Aretha Franklin? What does Aretha do that Kim Deal doesn't?
🤔 I sort of agree with Necharsian, although it doesn't seem fair to exclude these artists from a tourney just because they were/are in a band. It's not like they are contributing less than the solo artists anyway. And if not, then perhaps we should start removing artists that had help from producers, lyricists and session musicians.
I suppose the best you can hope for is a certain amount of understanding from the voter. Ex don't vote for Nico because of her work on Heroin.
