Recommendations sticky?

Where you can ask other forum regulars for similar artists/albums to the ones you like or a certain type of music you're interested in.
e.g can anyone recommend some really thought provoking albums?
e.g any bands out there like the xx?

It's already done throughout the forum. If you ask in any music thread you'll get loads of recommendations. Not sure a sticky is necessary.

I'm not opposed to this... I opened a thread a while back, "More like this", which I kinda wanted to become a sort of "general recommendation thread", though it didn't really go that well (i should really be more clear though).

I would encourage this. lethal is right, recs happen across all threads (and esp. chart comments), but it would be nice to consolidate all of it into one thread.

I'm kind of in favour of that. A single recommendations thread will likely go seriously off topic and will likely become difficult to follow if two or three people are wanting recs at the same time. it's probably best to keep things as they are and post asking for recs if you want them.
