And yes, at that you succeeded.
And to think that 1975 is the first year when the word "punk" was used to describe the sound of an album. Obviously, that album is not part of the team presented here though.

I think it was used before, notably by Lester Bangs to describe The Stooges.

Yes I have revised a little bit my musical history book and 1975 would have been the date when the word "punk" would no longer be only applied to the individual or band but to the sound. This basically means that my little music trivia went from being trivial to being splitting hair trivial.
While I am here simmering in my own shame I want to thank Norman Bates for correcting me because I hate to be wrong about music trivia no matter how useless it is. So trust me, I will never be caught uttering that one ever again.

Didn't Suicide call themselves "punk" already in 1970? Of course that doesn't describe the sound of an album, but it might be the first time music has been described as punk

I didn't even know they were around as early as that! Do you know if pre-first LP demos and/or live renditions can be found somewhere?

I haven't searched, but I'd like to sometime - apparently Martin Rev played a Farfisa organ instead of a synthesizer in the beginning. But I guess you know the "23 Minutes in Bruxelles" recording from 1978? That one is quite interesting
