I thought I would make a thread where we can share artists that we found recently, today or tomorrow that we hadn't heard before. Today I was listening to "Body of war: Songs that inspired an Iraq war veteran". A song called "War" by Dilated Peoples, a rap group, stood out to me. Anyway I looked up the artist on Spotify. I was hooked straight away, their brilliant! :D I'm listening to their album "20/20" which is extraordinary. Songs like "You Can't run, you can't hide" and "Alarm clock music" are standouts. I'll definitely buy a copy as soon as I can :)

The whole "West London Folk Scene" has some amazing artists. I found them through Mumford & Sons, and they're all fantastic. The best are probably:

Laura Marling
Pete Roe
Mystery Jets
Johnny Flynn
Noah and the Whale

If you like folk-ish music at all, check them out.

Digging a little deeper into the hardcore bands that I don't know yet, I've just found Death Church by Rudimentary Peni to be completely satisfactory, and I intend to listen to their other releases. Great LP, hardcore guys.
