The Great BEA novel

It is NaNoWriMo month this month and I thought it would be fun to see if we could write a BEA novel. It is very simple, each poster reads the post before and then adds to the novel. Slowly but surely the story builds up. The rules are simple. No more than 3 sentences per post - ok we have killed this rule now - write as much or as little as you like :) No double posts (there always has to be someone else inbetween) I'll make a start: Mike eyed up the weathered old man across the desk. The old man stank of stale whiskey and a lifetime of living rough. Mike was impatient to get started.
