Half way through,none of the songs stand out so far.I just keep saying to myself "I can't wait for the Rocky verse" which on a Big Boi album I shouldn't be doing.I'll finish it tonight and maybe another listen in the morning,however I'm not confident it will be making my top 50 list.Pretty forgettable.
i was a bit disappointed in comparison to "luscious left foot", but it's still solid. The album doesn't seem to find its groove until about 5 songs in. He seems a little "softer" this time around. And i agree that no one songs stands out (ON FIRST LISTEN... i hope to hear this thing another 4+ times before cementing my top 50 of 2012).
Yeah, that Big Boi album was just boring. Then again, I didn't like his last album either. Anyway, it's a week until the 20th anniversary of this...

...so I'm listening to it. It's one of those records that's just always been there, I really couldn't tell you how many times I heard this at friends' houses when I was like 14, but I don't remember the first time I heard it. Honestly, I don't think the beats are as good as those on Doggystyle. And I prefer DJ Quik to Dre. But this album still fucking bumps. And what it did in terms of shaping hip-hop (for better or worse) is incalculable. Deeeeeez nuts.
