Your link works fine. It's a 1995 track, not 1990, though.

Some words of explanation on my pick. I wanted to showcase some good French rap, and Akhenaton is the most prominent MC from one of the two most important French rap bands : I AM, from Marseilles. I AM started in the early 90s, their sound and imagery (martial arts, chess games, etc.) is very much influenced by Wu-Tang Clan (there's a Wu-Tang featuring on their classic album L'Ecole du micro d'argent, 1997). Akhenaton's first solo effort (Mรฉtรจque et mat, 1995) is very good and stands the test of time, "Je suis peut-รชtre" ("I May Be") is a self-deprecatory ego trip that's very funny. If I remember well, I have also nominated another French rap song, from one the best underground bands around, La Rumeur, I'll tell you more about them when their turn comes.

Well that's enough to earn my vote, although it also has something to do with my indifference towards CunninLynguists.

The vote on this one was fairly hard considering I like/dislike the songs about the same.
