Emails On Watched Topics

Often times I stop getting emails for a topic I'm watching. I'll be on the forums and see that posts have been made since last time I received and opened an email, and even though at the bottom of the thread it still says "stop watching topic", I'm not getting the emails. Does this happen to anyone else or am I doing something wrong?

I get the reverse. Whenever I post on an album page, or on a chart, I automatically receive e-mails for new messages even though I did not ask to follow the album or chart. Doesn't happen with threads, though.

You won't be notified of each and every reply. You'll just get one email when someone replies, but no more until you visit the topic again (otherwise you could get a large number of emails).
To answer generally as well, people can adjust the number of communications they receive by changing the relevant settings in their profile. To turn off all email notifications use the following settings:
Always notify me of replies: No
Also, delete any existing topics you are subscribed to from this page.
Notify on new Private Message: No
Notify me when someone makes a comment on my chart: No
Notify me when someone rates my chart: No
Notify me when someone replies to one of my album, band or chart comments: No*
(*this is the setting that is affecting Norman Bates)

Oh yeah I know that, but sometimes I don't even get an email on the first reply. It doesn't happen to often though so it's not a big deal, thanks albummaster.
