Two tracks in and I like it, but not loads. The opening two tracks were nice, if pretty immediately forgettable. Decent summery house vibes with R'n'B sensibilities. If it doesn't decrease significantly in quality over the course of the rest of the album then it will warrant repeated listens. As a side note, the album art is fucking awesome - a real throwback to those painted late '70s soul/funk/jazz album covers. Just so you know, that's the type of shit I fux with.
Well I thoroughly enjoyed Toro Y Moi's new album. There was nothing groundbreaking, but there were a few genuine highlights and no real missteps. Will come back to it. Now:

MC Eiht - Keep It Hood EP (2013)
Anyone who's paid any attention to my 1990s hip-hop chart will have seen MC Eiht's West Coast classic We Come Strapped in there somewhere. He's nobody's absolute favourite rapper, but he's reliable as fuck and very entertaining when he's on form. I've never really kept up with his career, perhaps due to the fact he used to have beef with (and subsequently got lyrically destroyed (1) by) DJ Quik, who is one of my favourite artists. Why that should impact on my enjoyment of his music, however, is silly. And despite my ignorance of his post-Quik beef career, I'm really enjoying the first few tracks. It's making me want to go and check out some of the stuff I've missed, and that can only be a good thing.

Wow. I would agree with you with Britney Spears Femme Fetale being a decent listen, but this has stooped to a new low. My wife won't even listen to this... what has possessed you? How can I be enlightened in the ways of Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana?
