Hey Jude was a compilation album thrown together by Allen Klein, and had material on it going back to 1964. It became irrelevant when the Past Masters series was released in 1988. No songs were recorded for the Hey Jude album, and it has been out of print for years. All of the tracks are now on either Past Masters or A Hard Days Night.

If you miss Hey Jude so much then just listen to half of Past Masters 2, although why you'd only want to listen to half of it is beyond me.

yeah, the beatles earlier albums were all fucked up by capitol records in the US to maximize profit. corporations don't usually care for artistic merit. well, not for it's own sake, at least (and why would they?)
