first concert you went to?

hi all, forgive me if this has been done before, but what was the first concert you went to and what do you think of it now? Mine was cheap trick with opener spanic boys. Cheap Trick was good but the lasting memory i have of this concert was the old, fat spanic boys and their tight clothing. I've since called them the "spandex boys"... You? (thread inspired by "last concert" thread.)

Indeed it was, and the funny thing is, I've seen Oasis since and I enjoyed the Beautiful South far more (hence the long story on the guilty pleasures thread). And when I did see Oasis, their support act (Doves) were amazing, the best thing about the gig and made Oasis sound very average.

Reminds me of when I saw Weezer... they weren't bad, but definitely not a band I would go see again, but Jimmy Eat World opened and were amazing, that was for the Bleed American album as well, which is the only one I really love.

The first show that I remember going to was in the mid 1980s when I was like three or four years old. Sawyer Brown was on the stage and I was somewhere in the crowd crying over how loud the music was. 😁 😁 😁

P.S. I was only there for about ten minutes and several years later, I finally got to see them again at age 11-12 and to me they were so good I saw them again back in 2005. 😄 😄 😄
