clipping - midcity (2013)

I've been listening to this quite a bit. It's not a case of whether it'll be on my 2013 chart, but where to put it. Near the top, most likely. For someone who really dislikes Death Grips it's a bit strange that I like this. But it's great.

Funeral - Arcade Fire.

I've changed my mind, I don't mind the vocals this time, and I could see myself liking this album, though not excessively. Won't be near my top 100. There really ISN'T anything extraordinary about this album. And no, don't try to convince me otherwise...not only are the songs fairly well crafted but not brilliantly crafted, there's nothing I hear that's groundbreaking either...so I can't really see why it's rated so highly given those are the two main standards people use to judge on this site.
