that being said from these options i vote for arcade fire. although the strokes started a movement that followed by interpol, franz ferdinand, bloc party, yeah yeah yeahs,... which overall was a series of good debuts and bad follow ups which lost its magic almost by mid 2000s.
Well, it appears everyone's cool with ignoring everything but indie rock. In America, at least, the biggest-selling albums of the decade were mostly pop and hip-hop records. Even now we're seeing the R'n'B sound that Timbaland and The Neptunes helped to mold pervading into the indiesphere thanks to the The xx and others, and you're all still arguing over which white indie-rock band molded the decade lol.
