I don't know how anyone can consider Since I Left You as being the best when Since I Left You is superior on almost every level! By the time they recorded Since I Left You they were just ripping themselves off... And don't get me started on Since I Left You!
Woah woah woah, what's so wrong about Since I Left You? I mean, at that point in their career they'd obviously found their niche, but I think it's a really fresh album in a lot of ways. It has their classic sound but expands upon it a lot, at least in my eyes.

Since I Left You is probably the best place to start. But whatever you do, don't go with Since I Left You first, it's by far their most experimental, and even though it's good, it takes a long time to get into.
