Hi people,

Just wondering if there are any Split Enz / Crowded House fans out there, I myself are a fan of these bands and i was just wondering if there are many fans out there, that and there did not seem to be too much discussion about them so i thought i would start some.

Thanks

I prefer Crowded House over Split Enz but both are great bands.

Interesting to see Farewell To The World as your top CH choice. Mind you, Recurring Dream is a favourite of mine above some of their albums.

BTW, Games section. Matchup in the PPNW tournament in the next week or so: The National v Split Enz

...but everyone on BEA has a hard on for The National so they're gonna win by miles.

Hmm that's interesting, because Split Enz is one of my favorite bands and The National are one of my girlfriends favorite bands. Might cause a few arguments.

Yeah Farewell To The World goes higher for a few reasons

1 - I think its one of the best live concerts ever

2 - It shows Crowded House at their peak

3 - Shows the drumming skills of Paul Hester

4 - Shows the fun of the band

5 - And also it's a greatest hits album.

But if you want the studio version of the songs, yeah Recurring Dream is the best album to get.

I like all their albums, but the two newest albums (Time on Earth & Intriguer) are my least favorites of the band. But saying that there are still some awesome songs on those two albums.

I'm not a particular fan of either band, but I did once get offered a free ticket to go see The Finn Brothers at the Royal Albert Hall. The show was alright; the venue was amazing. I've always had a soft spot for 'Persuasion', a song co-written with Richard Thompson and tucked away on one of Tim's solo albums. It's not revolutionary or anything, just a lovely little pop song.
