The absurdest match possible in a "postpunk" tournament. Won't vote for this one.
I'm not sure what your mean. This tournament is based on both post-punk and new wave. If The Strokes' post-punkism is clearly debattable, I'm not sure you can consider Tears For Fears anything but a new wave band : right time, right place, right sound.

Sorry, it wasn't clear. I didn't think it would matter much. It's an absurd match IMO because I can't begin to view the postpunk/new wave in The Strokes, and I really don't like Tears For Fears. So voting here is an endless circle of indecision as far as I'm concerned. But I do understand Tears For Fears being in the tourney (well, past Siouxsie in the first round is unexplainable to me, but to each his own).

Went with The Strokes. Personally I think 'new wave' is a pretty good genre label for them. They sound like The Cars if The Cars played at CBGB's to me. Tears For Fears do absolutely nothing for me.
