This Is Marijata by Marijata

Tracks:

1. I Walk Alone
2. We Live in Peace
3. No Condition Is Permanent
4. Break Through

A little background: This album was released partially due to the peanut invasion of Australia in 1975. Many Australians had to "abandon ship" unless they wanted to be killed by salty deliciousness. Anyways, when the Aussies relocated to Ghana, many of them grew an accent they were unfamiliar with. Scientists found it odd then, but now - a - days we know that Aussies are just allergic to the country of Ghana. Anyways, Marijata was a Canadian living incognito during this time. He decided he was feed up with listening to contemporary pop that the immigrants brought in so instead he recorded a very groovy and funky album called This is Marijuata. With all that done with, he decided to quite the music business and become a circus clown (which was inspiration for Apator's hit "Tears of a clown" in 1996). His music will never be forgotten.

Feel free to discuss this album and the wondrous music it has brought us.

Careful with that edge, you don't wanna fall.

I've got an immense backlog on listening atm, but I'll add this to the list and let you know what I think!

Awesome! The whole reason I'm making a thread (might turn into a more regular series, or not. I dunno) is because I see people crave for new music as well as somewhat creative threads (which is where the whole "history" aspect comes from), so i just decided why not? Plus I didn't have much better to do.

I'd advise anyone and everyone to listen to this album. It's very groovy and funky type stuff. A cool listen overall with some stuff to move your body to.
