Well Christ, I said in the OP that I was talking about the grey one. #F8F8F8.

My monitor is calibrated correctly and I'm colourblind. How the latter can factor into it is beyond me. Colourblind people don't tend to see colour more easily than non-colourblind people, especially when there is no colour.
