I already really like this album and it's on my chart, but I feel absolutely transfixed right now. I need to move this higher on my chart.
Yes, you should! and their other albums are good too, try them if you didn't _________________ If you're feeling sinister, Go off and Listen to Indie Pop
Fuck this guys make better punk music than most 70's punk bands. Frankly, this might be the most furious and frenetic record I've ever heard. Fantastic. Also, the riff in Main Offender might be the best of all time. Seriously. This is going on my chart as soon as I get back home.

The Hives are awesome. They were on my overall chart previously (about when I joined).
Honestly, I don't know which R.E.M. album I should put on my chart out of their first five. I can't choose. None of them really touch me deeply emotionally speaking, but they're all songwriting masterpieces. R.E.M.'s style is completely flawless on these albums. There's not a single bad song on any of them, really. Mmmh. I might put Fables Of The Reconstruction on my chart then, it'll make me look cool.
Still on my 2kT run, I must admit I'm slightly disappointed overall. Of course, I'm not even 1/3 into all those discoveries, but most of them sounded pretty bland/repetitive/overheard on first listen. It's much less impressive than the new millennial tournament discoveries, which were awesome.
Really good discoveries this time include : Suuns, Zeroes QC; Afrirampo, We Are Uchu No Ko; and so far (halfway through) More Deep Cuts by Thee More Shallow. A bit above the rest, around the 80 mark on first listen. No masterpieces, but solid records, Thee More Shallow might be worth a little more than that, I'll know when I relisten to it.
I thought these were at least partly good, but not very good: Set Fire To Flames; Bethany Curve; Jan Jelinek; Woodpigeon; Blut aus Nord (surprisingly enough, I was really interested - surprisingly because I'm known to feel little appeal in metal). Somewhere around 70 for those.
OK/average/don't really feel like re-listening to: Secos & Molhados, Jacaszek, Nickel Creek, Cymbals Eat Guitars; Orion Rigel Domisse. between 50 & 65 or something.
I didn't like: Thursday and Ben Harper. Nothing offensive or really bad (apart from Harper's lyrics, frankly), but very little interest in those releases for me.
I realize it's not so bad a record, but I'm still waiting for that unknown album that'll knock me out. Also, not enough variety from those nominations overall, they're mostly variations on indie rock/pop/alt-country or something, with the odd microhouse album. Hopefully the best is to come.
