Before discovering BEA, I exclusively listened to Tool (almost), so I've discovered most of my favorites through either BEA or RYM. Most of them have been through both sites' overall charts. Some great artists (I'll just list those instead of albums) which I think I've discovered or became aware/curious about thanks to specific users on BEA:

DLGGLD: Company Flow, A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown
CellarDoor: Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Fall, Beach House, Nicolas Jaar, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Young Marble Giants, The Feelies, Glenn Branca, Galaxie 500, Jandek, Cannonball Adderley, Arvo Pรคrt
Norman Bates: Talk Talk/Mark Hollis, Red House Painters, Lambchop, J Dilla, This Heat, Gastr del Sol, Cat Power, The Modern Lovers, Gang of Four, Daniel Johnston, Pharoah Sanders, Antipop Consortium, John Martyn, Curtis Mayfield, Vashti Bunyan, Mazzy Star, Robert Johnson, Otis Redding, The Streets, Eels, The Go-Betweens, Ali Farka Tourรฉ & Toumani Diabatรฉ
purple: Joanna Newsom, William Basinski, Wilco, The Avalanches, Flying Lotus
lehtalnezzle: The Congos, Culture, Cannibal Ox
Necharsian: The Angelic Process

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosions (Thanks to Junodog) and The Fall (Thanks to DBZ).

Actaully, pretty much everything Jon Spencer has worked on. I actually bought an album that JS produced just last night.

Hot damn...

For me, it's the following:

Belle and Sebastian (more like a rediscovery)
Pavement (likewise)
Grizzly Bear
and lately, I've been listening to loads of blues, thanks to the recs I got (especially Purple)

I found the vast majority of the albums mentioned by myself. I must have known too much before I came here. ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿคฃ

So far I'd say that BEA introduced me to a couple obvious ones that I had pretty much ignored before - Radiohead and Arcade Fire. Both have albums high on my charts now.

I don't think BEA has led me to obsess over any artist, but it has helped me make some incredible album discoveries. I'll list a few of these puppies.

Elephant
Another Green World
After the Gold Rush
Marquee Moon
We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic
Forever Changes
Violent Femmes
OK Computer
Hounds of Love
Purple Rain
Transformer

Yea all those I discovered here and have made my chart.

The antlers were one of the ones I found from BEA.

Also, DJ Shadow. Both phenomenal albums. There's a few others, I remember finding Wild Beasts from a chart and that was great. Blow the heavens is another pretty good album I found on here.

That's probably not all of them, but those are the ones I remember the most.
