Wouldn't count on it. If I recall correctly, they considered California their magnum opus and chose to break up because they knew they could never top it. Regrettable, but I'm inclined to agree with them.

Gonna give it a listen, actually.

wow, i'm not sure where you got your info. they had said they would never reunite because of words exchanged between guitarist Trey Spruance and Mike Patton. The thing is they did a song together last year; a cover of 'Jacky' by Scott Walker, through Spruance's group Secret Chiefs 3. So, you see, I'm hopeful in a reunion. I don't recall 'California' being called their magnum opus , have you heard 'Disco Volante'? The things these guys are capable of, sky's the limit.

fishing around i found this sad statement from bassist extraordinaire Trevor Dunn "I've heard the faintest murmurings about it, but honestly I don't think anyone is interested. It's nothing personal, either. We all feel like that band said what it needed to say. It would feel weird and awkward to play that music again. It would take a pant-load of money to make it happen, and honestly, I don't want to do it for that reason. I would prefer to let go of it, respectfully."

...still, you never know.

Yes, I've heard their entire discography. As for where I get my information, I'm not entirely sure ๐Ÿค” I was also half-asleep when I posted that, so there's a good chance I just inadvertently made it up as the ideal Mr. Bungle breakup scenario ๐Ÿคฃ

Anyway, that's interesting to hear. I don't really keep up with Mike Patton nowadays. A reunion could be pretty sweet.
