Some of the transitions between sections are sloppy, but it fits the aesthetic; trashy grotesque black metal with jagged trebley guitar playing and pretty folk interludes. One of my favourites of the year so far.
The Joshua Tree went up 137 places on my overall chart to #31! Now it's time for...

First listen.
So far, I'm liking it. And I hope I can really get into U2 by the end of the day. And I'm very sure that the second listen to this album will be so much better. Actually, I find myself personally liking each track a little more than I like Joshua Tree, but the production isn't AS good as Joshua Tree which is a phenomenon. This album's definitely going to make it on my chart, but it won't top TJT.
EDIT: Now I'm loving it. Now I really have to give The Joshua Tree a second listen today.

Still one of The Temptations strongest records and like The Supremes showed them willing to progress into new psychedelic soundscapes and proto-funk attitudes. "Slave" and "Message from a Black Man" are some of their strongest songs to this day.
