I have been called hipster for listening to obscure stuff from the 90s and earlier. Can you be a retro hipster? Or is it defined to new music.

It's called a dadrocker.

Is part of being a hipster wearing eyeglasses with no lenses in them? Or is that just a sign of extreme stupidity?

Or both?

Both.

I've actually seen people with perfect vision wear prescription glasses with lenses to look cool. talk about extreme stupidity

Whenever I meet those people, I act severely offended, and make up some rant about how it's insulting to people with bad vision (like moi). It's always funny to watch their reactions. 🤣

This reminds me of a joke about the 80's.

These two teenagers, a boy and a girl, walk into a story wearing leather jackets, died mohawks, and chains. The boy finds a pair of dark shades and tries them on. "How do I look?" he says. The girl says. "Take them off! You look ridiculous!"

Great, so now I am a dadrocker. Although my thought on dadrocker music taste would be who I saw at the record air yesterday. Searching for vinyl by 70s Australian bands that are forever played on commercial radio.
